McKENZIE (February 8) — Lady Rebels start the game off early with a 2-0 lead. Houston County matched the Lady Rebels’ intensity, going shot for shot as McKenzie ends up trailing 10-8 halfway through the first quarter. Lady Rebel Savannah Davis came alive with three three-pointers, starting the Lady Rebels’ 10-0 run, putting McKenzie up 18-10 at the end of the first quarter. more
BIG SANDY (February 9) — For the Lady Rebels, the first quarter was off to a slow start as three games early in the week seemed to take its toll. more
McKENZIE (February 5) — McKenzie Lady Rebels and Rebels were victorious over Big Sandy on Senior Night to celebrate the seniors and their parents during pre-game activities. more
Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) has added McKenzie native Max Arnold Jr. to its football coaching staff. Arnold will serve as the special teams quality control coach for the Blue Raiders. more
HUNTINGDON (January 30) — On Tuesday the McKenzie Lady Rebels and Rebels traveled to Huntingdon to take on the Fillies and Mustangs in a non-region matchup. The Lady Rebels extended their season record to 11-5 with a decisive 77-62 victory against the Fillies. The Rebels followed this victory with their own 73-64 win on the court over the Mustangs, bringing their season record to 12-6. more
McKenzie Middle School Lady Rebels are the Blue Suede Class A Champions. They finished the season with a record of 19-4. more
McKENZIE (January 23) — McKenzie High School senior Mikaela Reynolds chose to continue her education at Bethel University and is the newest signee for the Lady Wildcats Basketball Team. During a signing event at MHS on Tuesday, a school snow day, family, friends and Lady Rebels teammates join in the celebration. more
Members of the McKenzie High School Homecoming Royalty were selected by nominations from each homeroom. The M-Club then selected the five beautiful young ladies being presented Friday. The basketball teams and cheerleaders chose the queen from these five young ladies. more
McKENZIE (January 23) — Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central Lady Tigers and Tigers traveled to McKenzie to compete against the Lady Rebels and Rebels. The home team claimed victories in both contests. more
McKENZIE (January 26) — Following the crowning of the Homecoming queen and the introduction the Homecoming court and escorts, it was time for two big games. more
McKenzie eighth grade basketball players were honored for their final game on Thursday, January 11. more
NASHVILLE (January 12) — On Friday, the Tennessee Sports Wide Writers Association announced their selections for the All-State Football Teams of 2023. The list contains several players from around west Tennessee including McKenzie’s Colt Norden and Huntingdon’s Gray Eubanks. Both are juniors and are expected to have excellent 2024 seasons. more

McKENZIE (January 8) — After a tough loss to McEwen on Friday, January 5, the Lady Rebels found themselves battling a talented Henry County Lady Patriots team on Monday, January 8 at McKenzie. An overtime effort earned the Lady Rebels a 59-57 victory on the Lady Pats. more
McKENZIE (January 2) — Savannah Davis, a senior at McKenzie High School, was honored by the McKenzie Alumni Association and Pepsi MidAmerica for setting a new state three-point record in a single game. more

Local Football Players Make All-State The Tennessee Sportswriters Associated listed its list of All-State players on January 4. Four players from McKenzie and one from Huntingdon were honored. more
McKENZIE (December 19) — Fans at the McKenzie-Milan prep basketball game on Tuesday, December 19 at the McKenzie High School Gymnasium, witnessed history when Savannah Davis, a McKenzie senior and Middle Tennessee State University signee, set a new state scoring record for the number of 3-point goals in a single game while she also matched the MHS high-scoring record for a single game. more
The McKenzie High School Alumni Association (MHSAA) recognized two outstanding alumni at the December 19 basketball home game vs. Milan. The honorees were Ricky Price (Class of 1974) and Derek Carr (Class of 2008). more
