    NASHVILLE — Senator John Stevens, Representative Tandy Darby, Representative Brock Martin and Secretary of State Tre Hargett supported the Carroll County Library with a $4,872 Training Opportunities for the Public (TOP) grant. The grant provides computer literacy instructors and wi-fi hotspots for their patrons and a $1,178 Technology grant for new software and equipment.

Two director positions, the manager of the airport and the manager of the civic center, are opening within the next few weeks. A new position dealing with grants and bid solicitation may be created by the legislative body.

The resolution deals with the mitigation plan for Carroll County and the incorporated cities of Huntingdon, McKenzie, Bruceton, Hollow Rock, Clarksburg, Trezevant and Atwood.

    McKENZIE (December 9) — McKenzie Lady Rebels defeated Henry County’s Lady Patriots in a non-conference basketball contest on Friday, December 9. The Henry County Patriots won the night cap against the Rebels, in their second game of the season following a long, championship football season.
