Disorderly Conduct/Assault — McKenzie Police received a call from a Sonic employee last Wednesday evening, September 29, stating that a female customer came into the building and threw bbq sauce all over the store and cursed at her. The employee stated the customer left with a female driving a white Nissan Altima. The Altima was later spotted and stopped by another officer. Three female subjects were identified. Mariah Cook, 19, of Jackson, admitted to throwing the bbq sauce at the Sonic employee. Officer Cody Coleman reviewed Sonic’s security footage and did see Cook throw the bbq sauce. Cook was cited for Simple Assault and Disorderly Conduct. more
Theft — Charges are pending against a Henderson County man for allegedly stealing over $2,000 in tools from a worksite in Carroll County. more

Theft — It was reported on Sept. 18 that a 16-foot utility trailer valued at $1,800 with 86 square bales of hay on it valued at $520 was stolen from a barn at 13720 Highway 77 near Huntingdon. more
Multiple Charges — According to a report filed by Officer Cody Coleman, he and several other officers went to a South Main Street residence on Thursday morning, September 16, to serve an indictment on Regina Bryant. Once contact was made with the occupants, one occupant gave a fake name to officers. Ashton Ridley, 19, of McKenzie, identified himself as Tristan Hood. Coleman identified Ridley and learned he had active warrants out of Weakley County. Weakley County did not want him due to COVID-19. more

Aggravated Assault — Alvin Dark McClerkin, 69, of 120 Bridgeman Street, Lot #9, Huntingdon, was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon following a Sept. 16 incident at his residence. more
Driving On Suspended License — On Saturday, September 11, Officer Andy Weaver observed a gray Jeep Cherokee disregard the stop sign at the intersection of Como Street and Bethel Court. Weaver initiated a traffic stop and found the driver to be James Joseph Bell , 38, Georgia Ave, McKenzie. A license check revealed he was driving on a revoked license due to an earlier DUI conviction. Bell was arrested for driving on a suspended license and cited into court.. more
