  • Lady Rebels Lose, Rebels Win Two During Week

    McKenzie Lady Rebels, the Class 1A defending state champions lost two contests to Gibson County and Huntingdon, both Class 2A teams during the week. The Lady Rebels are suffering from a spate of injuries that have sidelined Savannah Davis, the Class 1A Miss Basketball, Madison Gilbert and Hannah Dillingham - all of whom played on the championship team last season.

    Average gasoline prices in Tennessee decreased 9.8 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $2.72 per gallon today, according to GasBuddy’s survey of 3,821 stations in Tennessee. Prices in Tennessee are 47.2 cents per gallon lower than a month ago and stand 26.3 cents per gallon lower than a year ago. The national average price of diesel has fallen 14.1 cents in the last week and stands at $4.77 per gallon.

    McKENZIE (December 14) — A multi-agency drug investigation that began nine months ago by special agents with the Drug Investigation Division of the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, the 24th Judicial District Drug Task Force, Huntingdon Police Department, McKenzie Police Department, and Carroll County Sheriff’s Office resulted in search warrants, arrests, and the seizure of drugs and weapons.
