    McKENZIE — Senior Director of Athletics, Brad Chappell announced Friday at the Annual Jerry Wilcoxson Memorial Golf Tournament, Ricky Rosenjack is also being inducted into the Bethel Athletic Hall of Fame as a contributor. Rosenjack joins Alicia James and Leah Hensley Cripps in the class of 2022.

    McKENZIE — Be sure to carve your best Halloween pumpkin to bring to the Farmers Market and enter the Carroll County 4-H pumpkin judging contest on Saturday, October 29. Pumpkin judging begins at 10 a.m. Afterward, there will be a fun science experiment to make the pumpkins explode.

    McKENZIE (October 18) — Free Wi-Fi will soon be available in downtown McKenzie. Mobile Communications America of Paducah was in McKenzie last week to install the radio-transmitting nodes on the top of the LED street lights to provide the radio signal.

  • West Tennessee Will Be Transformed By Ford Motor Assembly Company

    JACKSON (October 20) — BlueOval City, a manufacturing campus with Ford Motor Company and SK Battery, will transform West Tennessee, according to a public/news conference at the Jackson Fairgrounds on Thursday. Ford is investing $5.6 billion for the local manufacturing plants and a total of $11 billion in both west Tennessee and Kentucky.

    The Class A State Bracket is starting to clear up as the end of the regular season nears. The TSSAA football bracket alternates each year on purpose. The region winner automatically gets the first two playoff games at home. The region runner-up gets the first game at home and the next game on the road. The third and fourth rounds alternate each year.

    MEMPHIS — McKenzie’s Lady Rebel Soccer team made the trip to Memphis to play Sheffield in the Region Semifinals and came away with a 3-2 victory. Allie Walker, Hannah Lee, and Anna Claire Patel scored goals while goalie Katie Chesser recorded 6 saves during the game.

    McKENZIE  — The No. 6 Bethel Wildcat defense dominated the visiting Thomas More Saints Saturday in front of a huge crowd on Homecoming at Wildcat Stadium. The Cat offense also did their part scoring in every quarter in the 57-7 victory.

    McKENZIE (October 21) — McKenzie Rebels are 9-0 on the season after its 49-0 defeat of the Hollow Rock-Bruceton Tigers at Rebel Stadium last Friday. It was the Rebels last home game in the regular season and the seniors were honored during pre-game ceremonies.

    McKENZIE — The McKenzie Middle School Lady Rebels and Rebels got their basketball season underway on Tuesday, October 18, winning both games against Dresden Middle School. The Lady Rebels wasted no time building a commanding lead over the Lady Lions in the first period leading 13-4 at the end of one period.

    Multiple Charges — A domestic incident on Saturday evening, October 22, resulted in the arrest of two women. McKenzie Police received a 911 call regarding a stabbing at an Elm Street residence. Sgt. Kyle Beauchamp made contact with the victim Athena Stafford. Stafford stated she had been stabbed the night before (10/21) but was afraid to call 911. She was transported to Baptist Hospital by ambulance to treat her injuries.

    Multiple Charges — Tracia A. Pearson, 20, of Huntingdon was charged with a felony evading arrest and speeding on October 13. The vehicle was towed to Carroll County Motors due to it being inoperable and blocking lanes on the wrong side of the road.
