McKENZIE (November 21) — McKenzie’s Lady Rebels hosted Huntingdon on Monday night, November 21 in a solo game due to the Rebels not having enough players not involved in football to put a team on the floor. Both girls’ teams had already seen basketball action with the season starting last week. more
The McKenzie Rebels and Huntingdon Mustangs won their third round games last Friday to advance to the state football semifinals in Class 1A and Class 2A respectively. more
HUNTINGDON (November 18) — In football, they say it’s hard to beat a team twice in the same season. The Huntingdon Mustangs accomplished that feat defeating Union City 27-20 at Union City on Friday, October 28 and 14-3 Friday night, November 18, at home in the third round of the state playoffs. more
McKENZIE (November 19) — Huntingdon’s Fillies participated in a basketball double header at McKenzie on Saturday afternoon playing Obion Central. more

MEMPHIS (November 11) — Huntingdon hit the road to Memphis Fairley for round two of the state playoffs after defeating Memphis Mitchell in round one. The Mustangs took care of business on a chilly night in South Memphis eliminating the Fairley Bulldogs 48-6 and advancing to the third round on Friday. more

HUNTINGDON — The Huntingdon Mustangs wasted no time establishing they belonged in the playoffs scoring four touchdowns in the opening frame and added three more in the second quarter racking up 50 first half points against Memphis Mitchell and won the contest 50-12. more
ATWOOD — Cloudy skies, breezy winds, and a good crowd were on hand for the annual Centennial Bank Middle School All-Star Game between the North and South teams. more
UNION CITY (October 28) — The Huntingdon Mustangs picked up a huge Region 7-2A win Friday night against the Union City Golden Tornadoes. The 27-20 victory put the Mustangs in second play in the region behind Westview with both teams hosting the first of the TSSAA playoffs. more

Huntingdon’s Cross Country team competed well in the regional cross country meet held Tuesday, October 25, at Martin Westview. Quinn Kelley and Colton King medaled in their respective races with King qualifying for the State Cross Country meet in Hendersonville Thursday and Friday, November 3 and 4. more
McKENZIE — Huntingdon Middle and McKenzie Middle had their first meeting on the hardwood Thursday, October 27 at McKenzie with the Lady Rebels and Mustangs winning their games. more
TRENTON — The Huntingdon Mustangs made the trip into Gibson County for a rematch with Trenton. Last year when Trenton came to Huntingdon, the Mustangs snapped their 44-game win streak in convincing fashion. more
The Class A State Bracket is starting to clear up as the end of the regular season nears. The TSSAA football bracket alternates each year on purpose. The region winner automatically gets the first two playoff games at home. The region runner-up gets the first game at home and the next game on the road. The third and fourth rounds alternate each year. more
