MEMPHIS (November 25) — McKenzie Rebels fans had Thanksgiving twice following the Friday, November 25 victory over Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering. The semi-final championship round was not much of a contest for the Rebels, 14-0, as they claimed a 34-0 victory over the Memphis team. more
McKENZIE (November 21) — McKenzie’s Lady Rebels hosted Huntingdon on Monday night, November 21 in a solo game due to the Rebels not having enough players not involved in football to put a team on the floor. Both girls’ teams had already seen basketball action with the season starting last week. more
McKENZIE (November 18) — McKenzie Rebels (13-0) advance to the semi-final round of the Class 1A football playoffs after an impressive 20-18 win over Fayetteville at Rebel Stadium. The Rebels met an outstanding team from Fayetteville, who matched the Rebels in skill on the playing field in this third round of playoffs. Rebel fans showed up and cheered for their home team despite the temperatures in the upper 20s. more
McKenzie 65, Greenfield 39 GREENFIELD (November 15) — McKenzie’s Lady Rebels opened the 2022-23 season in a solo game at Greenfield without the boys playing on Tuesday, November 15. more
ATWOOD (November 17) — McKenzie Middle made the short trip to West Carroll for a basketball night with the two teams splitting games. more
McKENZIE (November 11) — McKenzie Rebels are 12-0 on the season after their defeat of Moore County on Friday, November 11. The Rebels play Fayetteville at Rebel Stadium on Friday. Both teams are 12-0. Fayetteville defeated Dresden, 42-17, to advance to the quarterfinals. There are eight teams statewide remaining in Class 1A playoffs. more
HUNTINGDON (November 10) — If you are a fan of young kids getting after it on the hardwood then Huntingdon was the place to be Thursday night, November 10. more
NASHVILLE — For the second year in a row, a McKenzie Rebel has been nominated for Class A’s Mr. Football Award.  Last year, it was junior running back Marquez Taylor and this year it is senior quarterback Jackson Cassidy. more
McKenzie (November 4) — McKenzie Rebels defeated Wayne County 63-0 in the first round of the Class 1A football playoffs at Rebel Stadium on November 4. Next up is Moore County (9-1), Region 5 at Rebel Stadium on Friday, November 11, Veterans Day, 7 p.m. more
ATWOOD — Cloudy skies, breezy winds, and a good crowd were on hand for the annual Centennial Bank Middle School All-Star Game between the North and South teams. more
McKenzie Middle School basketball tipped off November hosting West Carroll Junior High on Tuesday, November 1. The Lady War Eagles drained a three-pointer to take an early lead and maintained a slim 1-2 point lead throughout the first period until McKenzie hit a basket taking an 11-10 lead just seconds before the end of the first period. more
McKENZIE (October 21) — McKenzie Rebels are 9-0 on the season after its 49-0 defeat of the Hollow Rock-Bruceton Tigers at Rebel Stadium last Friday. It was the Rebels last home game in the regular season and the seniors were honored during pre-game ceremonies. more
McKENZIE — The McKenzie Middle School Lady Rebels and Rebels got their basketball season underway on Tuesday, October 18, winning both games against Dresden Middle School. The Lady Rebels wasted no time building a commanding lead over the Lady Lions in the first period leading 13-4 at the end of one period. more
McKenzie Lady Rebel Basketball Coach John Wilkins was named 2021-2022 Girls’ Basketball Coach of the Year by the TSSAA (Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association). more
McKENZIE – The Bethel Wildcat baseball program signed local standout Hayden Hixson Thursday. Hayden is the son of Eddie and Monica Hixson of McKenzie and will major in Education.  more
McKENZIE (October 7) — McKenzie claimed a 56-0 victory over visiting Gleason on Friday, October 7 and the Rebels moved to 8-0 on the season and 4-0 in the region.  more
DRESDEN (September 30) — In a much talked about region contest, McKenzie’s Rebels defeated the Dresden Lions 40-7 to take command of the Region 6A lead. Jackson Cassidy and Marquez Taylor both had big nights against the Lions. more
McKenzie Middle’s Rebel football wrapped up their season with two road trips to Gibson County on Thursday, September 22 and Camden on September 29. more
ATWOOD — The McKenzie Rebels traveled to Atwood on a rare Thursday night contest due to a TSSAA ruling earlier this year requiring schools to schedule at least one Thursday game to alleviate a shortage of game officials. more
The McKenzie Golf Teams wrapped up their regular season with two road matches at Milan Country Club on Tuesday, August 30 and Thursday, September 8 at Stewart County while their last match was at Carroll Lake Golf Course against Huntingdon and South Fulton. The District Tournament got underway on Monday morning, September 19. more
